1.2343 die steel is a type of hot work die steel, mainly used for manufacturing die-casting molds, hot extrusion molds, and hot forging molds that operate in high-temperature environments. Its fundamental principle is to endow it with the ability to resist deformation, wear, thermal fatigue and cracking under high-temperature, high-pressure and high-speed thermal cycling conditions through appropriate chemical composition and heat treatment processes, thereby ensuring that the mold can maintain dimensional accuracy and good surface quality during long-term high-temperature operation, and produce qualified die-casting or forging products. 1.2343 die steel belongs to electroslag remelting hot work die steel. It features uniform material and excellent machinability and polishing performance. It also has good high toughness and plasticity, as well as outstanding wear resistance and overall hardening performance at both high and low temperatures.
